Basic info

We play every Thursday, 7.30pm to 10pm at the following location:

Talacre Community Sports Centre, Dalby Street, London NW5 3AF. Map 

Nearest Tube: Kentish Town or Camden Town (Northern Line).
Nearest mainline train station: Kentish Town West (Overground and National Train).

Players of any standard, both men and women are always welcome. Our members range from being complete beginners to some very good players indeed.

Visitors are welcome. Due to the popularity of these sessions, non-members are required to book a slot (see below)

Facilities

Games played on 4 courts with the club providing plastic shuttlecocks. Changing rooms and rackets are available for hire at the sports centre.

Fees and membership  (updated April 2011)

Guests: pay £7.00 per session.
Members: pay £5 per session.
Concessions: pay £4 per session.

To register for membership, guest players need to have attended the club for 3 sessions to be eligible.

Membership costs £10 per year.

Social

The evening is usually followed by a social at the nearby pub called The Abbey Tavern.

This is a modern, stylish gastropub with a quiet beer garden and roof terrace and is open until midnight.

Sports day and international tournament 2012

Each year Goslings sports club holds an informal tournament, followed by our AGM and party.  Our sports day this year is on June 16th.  More information is available.

We are excited to announce that in September 2012 we will also be celebrating 25 years of Goslings Sports Club and will be inviting our friends from around Europe and beyond for our international badminton tournament. 

The tournament will take place between September 21st and September 23rd 2012, at a brand new purpose-built badminton centre in Redbridge, near Fairlop tube station, which is a host practice site for Olympic athletes.
